Advent Children

Journal Entry: Thu Nov 10, 2005, 12:12 AM
So I finally acquired a copy of Advent Children, and it doesn't have subtitles. T_T The pain, the pain. I did manage to find a subtitled version of the OVA Last Order, and it was AWESOME. I swear, I had an orgasm while watching it. If Last Order was that good, I'm sure Advent Children itself will kill me. It'll be so worth it, though. :XD:

I'll be sure to add a sycophantic fangirl rant after I've watched AC soon. I also wanna do some FF7 fanart, 'cause I haven't done any in a while, and I had a weird dream about Vincent last night. >_>; It wasn't a naughty dream. Just weird. We were, like, trying to escape from some crappy motel where we'd rigged up an arson thing, but the character I was in my dream had set up a magical ward so that only a certain part of the room would burn. (...I have no clue. My subconscious is weird.)

My copy is subtitled (fan subbed)-- I have to hit the "subtitle" control on my DVD remote to make the subtitles come up. You might want to try that in case your copy is like mine- then if you're in luck, you'll know what they're saying. The trash talking in the final fight is fantastic if you're familiar with the game.

Hmm. I "did not" download a copy via bit torrent, and it "is not" an AVI file...I'll have to see if the subtitle thing works. T_T

Lemme see what my copy is. A friend gave it to me over AWA and I've yet to even look at it. I know it is subbed though.

Maybe you said this before, and I can't remember that it was you who had a problem with it, but why don't you use bittorrent?

I do. I just had a few glitches getting it to work with IE, which apparently happens t o some other people, too. XP I have Firefox solely for attempting to download certain bittorrents. (Bittorrent is what I used to "not" get Last Order and my subtitle-free version of AC.) :cries:

Hmm...

I use IE (Windows...also don't remember if you use Apple or not), and it's been mostly ok. Have you tried tokyotosho.com? Search for Advent Children, and when the results come, there should be a bunch of subtitled ones. Pretty much, as long as there's an orange bar next to it that says anime and there's nothing in the actual text description that includes the word "raw," it should have the subtitles.

Nope, hadn't heard of that website before. Thanks for the link. :)

Sure. It's the best one I've found for that kind of thing (next to animesuki, but this one doesn't care whether something's licensed or not...which apparantly AC is now).
