Eight years of long, torturous agony are FINALLY OVER. God damn it, I have had to put up with the simple-minded antics of George W. Bush for the entirety of my adult life up to this point, and I have been hating him since day one. I didn't give him a break for 9/11 like the majority of you Johnny-come-lately patriot bandwagon pussies. I have hated the man for nearly a decade. I have been worn out by this shoe-ducking, civil liberties-raping, chimpanzee-lookalike king who was never in fact elected the first time around.

It's about time we finally got someone intelligent as a president. A Constitutional lawyer, for God's sake. I doubt Dubya even knows what one is (or has even read the Constitution in full). Don't even get me started on the bullet we dodged with Sarah Palin.

It is certainly a momentous day. Right after Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we have the inauguration of the first African-American President. I could go on and on about how far we've come (and how far we have left to go), but more articulate people than I have already tackled that topic, I'm sure. So I'm just gonna stick with what I know:

NO MORE BUSH.

C: I'm so happy for all of you, seriously! This marks the first of hopefully many great days for the US ... and believe me, the world could not be more ECSTATIC to have Obama in office. If he hadn't been elected, the US's reputation would've got the rest of the way down the shitter, seriously.

I hope so. Obama has so many high hopes riding on him, I do not envy him his position.

It's funny. I heard some European analysts talking about Obama last night on the radio, and some of them were complaining about how he's thinking about tariffs and other plans to protect American jobs and products, as opposed to promoting more free trade. They seem to forget he's the US President. He definitely has to restore the US's standing in the eyes of the world, but ultimately he is responsible for American citizens first.

Because we know the President can't hardly move without congressional OK. So in a blunt statement we know to blame Congress just as much if not three times as much as the President.

even Canadians should celebrate the 44th President of the US inauguration today, I swear, he got me to be more determined and responsible after I heard his speech

Obama's a strong leader I had that definate feeling :D
