I have bums on the street hitting on me sometimes. Or ugly dudes in cars cruising down the street cat-calling any girls they see. I had some bald 30-something black dude in a golf cart doing that. I saw him twice actually...once in the school parking garage, so I think he works on campus. @_@;

A guy complimented me today, but he only said he liked my Led Zeppelin shirt in passing, as we were going in opposite directions through a doorway. XP

Wow, 3 days a week must be nice. I'm sure you get paid more than I do. Is the Canadian dollar still worth more than the US? You must at least have a better minimum wage up there than down in Florida. Minimum wage in the US was only recently raised to $7.25 an hour. That was a year ago, and it won't actually take effect until next year. And by that time, the cost of gas and food will have rendered it obsolete. So we'll have to go through a huge deal with the US Congress to get them to raise minimum wage again.

...Can I move up with you and become a Canadian? :'D

Ha. Sorry about the plug. I was feeling a little sorry for myself. XP I never get much from my family for my birthday. My mom can't afford much, so that's all right, but my dad doesn't like me living here and lets me know about it often. Last year he walked away after we sang my birthday song over cake. He didn't get me a present either. :< (He ruined my sister's birthday in August, too.)

No worries, I was feeling sorry for myself during my birthday, too XD;; I was actually planning to do some gift art for you anyways, so this just gives me some more motivation to do it (and a theme) XP

Man, the more I hear of your father the more I don't like him :< In the one in a million (well, several million) chance I win the lottery tomorrow night, you be getting your own house.

My dad tends to be emotionally abusive sometimes. My mom admits it, though she says he didn't used to be nearly this bad. He's gotten stressed out and paranoid as he's aged. But I love him anyway. I can't really help it. Sometimes I think it'd be easier if I just hated him outright.

I worry sometimes that I'll be more like him as I age too. Because he acts a lot like HIS mother: she was verbally abusive. So my dad should know how it feels, but he's deluded himself into thinking that he HAS to act this way, that everyone makes him act like a monster and it's not his fault. Like I said, he and I have some personality similarities: we're sarcastic, cynical, have short tempers and sharp tongues. I'm hoping I will remain more mellow and self-aware than my father. |P
