I started the sketch for this way back in March, but kind of shelved it for a while because I didn't like the way the shading on Sam was coming out. I'm still not thrilled with poor Sam, but it's better now than it used to be. And Ariel must have done a lot of coaxing to get Sam to go that near the ocean. He's kind of hydrophobic. :ninja:


Plus I guess it's appropriate to post this now, because I just finished with school for the semester. It's time for summer vacation--a time when I do nothing but work at a shitty part-time job I hate for 4 months.

aww you got rid of sam's sexy shades! lol i love seeing these to together, you know how i get about your oringnals! :D i think what i love most about this one is you get to see ariel's tone but not too muscly..but strong enough to leave an impression is sam gets out of hand ;D lol

Ariel's was on her high school swim team, so she's a little toned. Plus I like drawing women with a little muscle tone anyway. :P And I couldn't get Sam's sunglasses to look right, so I ditched them. Plus, they covered his eyes, so they would have obscured part of his 8) expression while looking at Ari.

Yay! Cookies! I hope they're chocolate chip. :ninja:

I have a thing for red heads. If a girl like that was sitting next to me, I'd probably have the same expression and stare he has. But I'd probably have a trail of drool rolling off the bottom lip.
