Okay, I couldn't resist doing another "Drizzt's Dilemma" picture, especially not after this scene in Siege of Darkness. :'D I have to admit that I love manrape. Okay, not manrape. But I love it when otherwise capable male characters get in WAY over their heads with their female love interests. X3 (And the Japanese sound effects indicate a "deep silence", 'cause Drizzt doesn't know what to say or think at this point.)
Anyhoo, this is part of the actual passage describing the situation of Cattie-brie throwing herself (literally) at Drizzt:
"Take me," Cattie-brie implored.
Drizzt's eyes couldn't have gone any wider without falling out of their sockets.
Yeah. Poor Drizzt goes head over heels for Cattie-brie, but from what I've read so far things aren't exactly going as he hopes. But this scene was pretty funny (and cute). It made my day. :'D

"Has she read any of the Bible? God couldn't cross the street without killing half a dozen people."
You have to read the books when you get home. There's an even better part in this scene where Drizzt tries to slip out of Cattie-brie's grasp and climb off the bed, but she kind of tackles him and grabs his leg and wraps herself around it. (She's being possessed by a magical item during all this, which is part of the reason Drizzt's so freaked out: he knows she wouldn't normally do this kinda thing. Though he admits he's hoped once or twice.)

Bwahaha. I was delighted at how unbalanced poor Drizzt was. He's usually a very tough, able fighter, but he was totally unprepared for Cattie-brie knocking him down onto a bed. Like I said, I love the dichotomy of a strong man being rendered emotionally helpless by a woman. X3
